Los Angeles County Mandates the Vaccination Proof

Los Angeles county has mandated the necessity of vaccination proof for employees and customers at indoor bar or nightclubs.  This announcement was made on Wednesday. As the numbers are surging across the county, the health department updated the new rules to follow.The county health department updated the rules for the county, and it will be followed on Oct. 7.  The Customers and employees at bars or nightclubs must have received at least one vaccine dose by Oct. 7 and both doses by Nov. 4. This rule does not apply to indoor restaurants but is recommended.

The health department also added that for outdoor events of more than 10,000 people, all the attendees must have to verify vaccination or a recent negative Covid-19 test. Los Angeles County Director of Public Health Barbara Ferrer said that this is a reasonable path forward that can position people to be better and allow us to break the cycle of surges.

President Joe Biden said that large venues like sports arenas and concerts require vaccination or a negative test.

The Los Angeles public school district board of education, approved rules that all students 12 years or older be vaccinated last week. Newsom, a Democrat, said Wednesday the state would not issue a rule like L.A. County’s, but officials would follow the science and changing conditions.
